Vik decides to quit Corrie
Coronation Street favourite Chris Bisson is quitting the show after four years as romeo Vik Desai, it was announced today.
The star said it had been among the most difficult decisions of his life but he wanted to diversify and face "fresh challenges".
Now producers are planning a dramatic exit for the actor, who also starred in film hit East Is East.
Bisson, aged 27, is lined up to leave the show in December when his current contract runs out.
He is currently working on a plot in which character’s gambling debts are spiralling out of control. The storyline will lead to his departure.
