A 10-year-old boy has been found hanged in his bathroom.
Jevan Richardson, from Lewisham, south east London, was discovered by his father Oliver.
Jevan made an earlier suicide attempt last April and left a note saying he wanted to die and was going to hang himself.
Scotland Yard said paramedics were called and found the boy unconscious.
He was taken by ambulance to Lewisham Hospital where he was certified dead. A spokesman added: "At this stage there is no evidence of crime."
Simon de Banya, anti-racial harassment and education coordinator of Lewisham Racial Equality Council, said Jevan was excluded from St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School in Lewisham last December following an alleged incident.
His death was a "tragedy that never should have happened", Mr de Banya added.
Jacqueline Joseph, the family's solicitor, added: "This is a sad day for Jevan's family."
A spokesman for Lewisham Council, said: "The local education authority is not commenting until it has learned more about this particular case. We are referring inquiries to Scotland Yard."
