Officials at Newcastle will hold a precautionary inspection at 3pm tomorrow ahead of their meeting on Monday.

Officials at Newcastle will hold a precautionary inspection at 3pm tomorrow ahead of their meeting on Monday.

The track had a lot of rain before racing earlier this week and clerk of the course James Armstrong said they would not want any further rain this week.

He said: “We had a lot of rain during racing on Monday and it’s taken a lot of time to put the track back.

“It’s touch and go as to whether we could race today but we are optimistic.”
