Nottingham have been forced to abandon this afternoon’s meeting due to a waterlogged track.

Continuous rain in the area yesterday had put the meeting in doubt and the course has not dried up sufficiently enough for the fixture to go ahead.

“We’ve had to abandon I’m afraid,” said clerk of the course Nick Patton.

“It’s very disappointing because it was a cracking card.

“But in the last 24 hours we’ve had 25 millimetres of rain on top of the 40-odd we had last week.”
