Trainer Karl Burke has had his appeal against a one-year ban dismissed by the British Horseracing Authority.
Burke was warned off after admitting passing information for reward at a hearing last month but had hoped to get his punishment reduced.
However, the BHA’s appeal board, chaired by William Gage, rejected his appeal on Monday and ordered Burke to forfeit his £800 (€930) deposit and pay £4,000 (€4,650) towards costs.
