Sligo Rovers 0 Bohemians 1
Brendan McGill scored on his full debut to put Bohs 13 points clear at the top of the Premier Division table ahead of the top-of-the-table clash with St Pat's on Monday night.
Sligo started well but gifted Bohs the only goal of the game on 26 minutes.
A howler by keeper Richard Brush, whose pass fell short, was clinically punished by alert winger McGill who chipped the stranded keeper to score.
Sligo remained very much in the game and were annoyed to be deprived an equaliser on 66 minutes.
Bohs' Brian Murphy dropped a Brian Cash free-kick, but referee Ian Stokes disallowed the goal for a foul on the keeper.
Murphy then produced the save of the game on 74 minutes from Rafael Cretaro's close-range shot from Cash's cross as Bohs hung on for a big win to stretch their unbeaten league run to 22 games.
