At least five killed in Baghdad restaurant suicide attack

A parked car bomb followed by a suicide attacker on foot struck a restaurant near the heavily-guarded Green Zone in Baghdad today, killing at least five people and wounding 10.

A parked car bomb followed by a suicide attacker on foot struck a restaurant near the heavily-guarded Green Zone in Baghdad today, killing at least five people and wounding 10.

The explosions occurred near the Yassameen restaurant, which is frequented by police, Lt. Mohammed Khayoun said, giving the casualty toll.

It was about 200 yards from the entrance to the Green Zone, the fortified area that houses the US and British embassies and the Iraqi government offices.
