Rat bites man privates
A man in Nassau is suing authorities after a rodent bit his penis while he was in a jail cell.
Peter Solomon believes the Nassau County Correctional Centre were negligent to put him in a rodent-infested cell, which he claims led to the incident in 2007.
Although those at the centre claim there is no problem, Judge Arthur Spatt said the case could proceed.
The judge said: "The parties dispute whether the rodent was a mouse or a rat, whether Solomon was bitten or scratched, and the nature and extent of his injuries."
