There were few gains on the Irish Stock Exchange this morning as the index suffered a slight loss of 1.45 points to 7777.40.
The financials had an uncertain morning with two reflecting the negative trend - Anglo Irish Bank fell 20c to €11.15 and Irish Life and Permanent dropped 13c to €15.50.
Allied Irish Bank, however bucked the trend gaining 13c to €16.61 and Bank of Ireland had a modest gain of 7c to €12.09.
Uncertainty continued within the construction sector with CRH up 11c to €27.17 and Kingspan suffering a slight loss of 4c to €16.21.
The biggest gain of the day came for Paddy Power, the bookmaker soaring 49c to €27.50.
