The ISEQ index of Irish shares dropped 33.62 points to 2,933.93 today.
There was little movement for individual shares however, and this was reflected in the financial sector. Bank of Ireland fell 4c to 83c. Allied Irish Banks shed 2c to 92c, but Irish Life and Permanent recovered 1c to €1.85.
The biggest fall of the day came for construction firm CRH, which declined 31c to €15.99. Elan also suffered, losing 15c to €3.83.
CPL Resources was the only gain of note, improving 10c to €2.50.
