New-look boardroom at Fyffes
Neil McCann has decided to retire as a director of Fyffes, having stepped down as chairman in December 2003.
Fifty-year-old Coen Bos, managing director of Fyffes Tropical Produce Division, has been appointed to the board.
He joined the group following the acquisition of Velleman & Tas BV in 1997. With a background in shipping and logistics, Coen assumed responsibility for the management of the group’s tropical produce operations in 2000.
Rory Byrne, 45, managing director of Fyffes General Produce Division, has also been appointed to the board.
He joined the group in 1988 from KPMG. Having held a number of senior financial and operational roles within the group, he assumed overall responsibility for general produce operations in 2002.
