Kate Beckinsale doesn't know if she wants more children.
The 38-year-old actress' husband Len Wiseman is keen on the idea of them having a baby together but the 'Underworld' star – who already has 12-year-old daughter Lily with ex-partner Michael Sheen – is cautious having seen friends go through the "tragedy" of miscarriage.
She told Australia's Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I’m not 100% sure [I’ll have more kids].
“I’ve had tragedy after tragedy with friends who have miscarried, so I feel for them when I’m asked this. Lily is very against it; Len is quite for it."
Kate is also reluctant to expand her brood because she didn't have an easy pregnancy with Lily.
She joked: "I’d love it if Len could have the pregnancy, because I don’t feel great when I’m pregnant. So we need to figure that out!"
Kate and Michael remain on good terms, and despite the 'Frost/Nixon' actor's permanent home being in the UK while she lives in America, she insists there are no problems with custody of Lily.
She said: "She’s used to him being gone for a long time. Michael has worked a lot since she was born; in the first year of her life, he was away for six or seven months. When he comes back to the US, we don’t have a formal arrangement. He just calls and says, ‘Can I pick her up on Tuesday?’”
