Second NFL semi fixed for Croke Park

Armagh manager Joe Kernan has been granted his wish as the GAA last night announced that the National Football League semi-final has been refixed for next Sunday at Croke Park.

Armagh manager Joe Kernan has been granted his wish as the GAA last night announced that the National Football League semi-final has been refixed for next Sunday at Croke Park.

Kernan was livid when yesterday's semi-final against Mayo at Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon was called off due to bad weather.

The team and supporters had already arrived at the venue, and were then told the match had been called off.

Kernan called for the match to be refixed for Croke Park, and the GAA acceded to his request last night.

The GAC fixed the Division One semi-final for headquarters at 3.30pm next Sunday.

However, the Division Two semi-finals involving Derry, Monaghan, Fermanagh and Meath have been refixed for Clones.
