Tony Blair has reportedly taken time out from the war in Iraq to star in an episode of The Simpsons.

Tony Blair has reportedly taken time out from the war in Iraq to star in an episode of The Simpsons.

The British Prime Minister recorded three lines of dialogue for the Sky One show yesterday while at Downing Street, says the Mirror.

The paper says Mr Blair recorded his piece after attending a passing-out parade of young cadets at Sandhurst military academy.

He will appear in the next series of the show in an episode set in Britain. Provisionally entitled the Regina Monologues, it will show an animated version of Mr Blair giving tips on tourism to Homer and his family.

The show will also see the appearance of an animated version of JK Rowling.

Blair is the first British leader to appear in the comedy, although former US presidents Bill Clinton, George Bush and Jimmy Carter have all featured.
