Today’s meeting at Leicester goes ahead in its entirety following a further inspection of the track at 10.30am.

Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson called an initial look for 8am and although the hurdle track was raceable at that time, officials were not happy to allow the races over fences to go ahead.

However, conditions warmed up sufficiently over the next couple of hours to allow Stevenson to give all races the green light.

“We’ve had a look at the chase track again and all the frost has come out of the ground, so we’re fine to race,” he said.
