The two sides finished up tied on 2-11 to 3-8 and will now face off again in Newry next Sunday.
Elsewhere, Longford will face Laois in the quarter-finals of the Leinster Championship after beating Westmeath 2-13 to 1-13 at Pearse Park yesterday.
Sligo also recorded victory over New York in Connacht.
In the Ulster Hurling Championship, meanwhile, Antrim beat London 4-16 to 3-8 in the semis, while Derry pipped Armagh 1-14 to 0-16 in the quarter-finals.
