Two US Army soldiers were killed when their convoy was hit a roadside bomb in the Iraqi capital.

Two US Army soldiers were killed when their convoy was hit a roadside bomb in the Iraqi capital.

The explosion occurred yesterday in eastern Baghdad, the military said.

Identities of the soldiers were being withheld pending notification of relatives.

The deaths raised to at least 2,003 the number of members of the US military who have died since the beginning of the US-led invasion of Iraq in March 2003.
