EMI, whose artists include Pink Floyd and Coldplay, could be put up for sale by its investment bank owners Citigroup.

EMI, whose artists include Pink Floyd and Coldplay, could be put up for sale by its investment bank owners Citigroup.

The company is the world's fourth-largest record label with an estimated £1.6bn in annual revenue.

Citi has turned EMI around after servicing its debt and restructuring the company.
