Jane Chapple-Hyam is considering the Ladbrokes Portland Handicap as well as the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup for her sprinter Secret Asset.
The grey has been in fine form during the summer, winning at Goodwood, where he ran twice in five days, and at York.
Secret Asset is already guaranteed a place in the big handicap at Ayr on September 17 and could run first at Doncaster a week earlier.
“I know he gets in the Ayr Gold Cup already, but I’ll enter him in the Portland and see what that race looks like,” said Newmarket-based Chapple-Hyam.
“He’s fine and I can’t see why Doncaster wouldn’t suit him. He’s run at tracks like Nottingham, Haydock and York. They are all similar.
“He’s in really good order. He’s in the Ayr Gold Cup, but we will do the entry for the Portland and have a look at that field.”
