Gladiator wins Best Film
Gladiator has won the Best Film Oscar.
The film won a total of four Academy Awards.
Producers Doulgas Wick, David Franzoni and Branko Lustig paid tribute to director Ridley Scott and star Russell Crowe.
Wick said: "Ridley Scott you invaded three continents with your tirless perfectionism and you brought new meaning to the phrase mad dogs and Englishmen in the noon day sun".
"Russell Crowe you filled a whole arena with the force of your face," he said.
