New Limerick hurling manager Pat Joe Whelahan has revealed that pressure is not a problem - despite taking on a county that lurches from crisis to crisis.

New Limerick hurling manager Pat Joe Whelahan has revealed that pressure is not a problem - despite taking on a county that lurches from crisis to crisis.

Whelahan has on;y been in the job a matter of months, but has already presided over the loss of six key players in a dual player bust up.

But the former Birr boss said: "If you worry about pressure you bring it on yourself. You train the players, you go into the dressing room and you play matches. It's the same thing only a higher-profile job."
