American business tycoon Malcolm Glazer has launched another £17m (€24.5m) raid on Manchester United today.

Glazer, who on Friday splashed out £45million to take his stake in the Old Trafford club to 25.3%. has bought another six million shares in United today, offering a further indication that he is not about to back down from his desire to take control.

The owner of the Tamp Bay Buccaneers NFL franchise now owns 27.63% of United, although this is still slightly less than the 28.9% stake of major shareholders John Magnier and JP McManus, who it was confirmed on Friday had broken off discussions with Glazer.
