The fixing of the Dalkia All-Ireland Handball championship finals for O'Loughlin Gaels in Kilkenny this weekend has led to anger among Ulster Council handball officials and players.
They are lodging an appeal to the GAA's Central Council over the decision to stage the deciders at a Leinster venue.
The finals were scheduled to take place tomorrow but have now been postponed after the Ulster body lodged its appeal.
That means the eagerly awaited All-Ireland 40x20 Senior Singles final between Cavan's Paul Brady and Tony Healy of Cork has been cancelled.
It is unclear, as of yet, when the case will be heard by the Central Council and when the games will be re-fixed for.
Other finals to suffer are the All-Ireland Minor Singles final between Mayo's Stephen Cooney and Meath's Gary McConnell and the Ladies Senior Singles final involving Antrim duo Aisling Reilly and Fiona Shannon.
In a statement, the Irish Handball Council have apologised to all involved for the late postponement.
"The Irish Handball Council very much regrets the inconvenience to players, officials and supporters as a result of this postponement," the statement read.
"When a decision is reached on the matter, the Council will refund monies paid for tickets or will issue tickets for a re-fixture, as patrons so desire.
"All remaining All-Ireland semi-finals will go ahead as scheduled on Sunday."
