Jones urges Reid to deny cross-dressing claims

'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant Vinnie Jones told Alex Reid today his hoped-for acting career is doomed in Hollywood because of his current reputation.

'Celebrity Big Brother' contestant Vinnie Jones told Alex Reid today his hoped-for acting career is doomed in Hollywood because of his current reputation.

In a heated discussion in the living room Jones, star of 'Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels', tried to persuade the cage fighter, who is dating glamour model Katie Price, to admit he is not really a cross-dresser.

Jones told Reid, who has previously appeared in Channel 4 soap 'Hollyoaks': “No one’s going to want to work with you right now – if you offered me $5m (€3.44m) to be in a movie with you, I wouldn’t take it.”

The former footballer and Hollywood hardman told Reid that as far as the acting world is concerned he has been “sent to Coventry” because of what is currently written about him in the tabloid press.

Jones said: “People will cross the street to get away from you.”

Reid was discussing his future career and cross-dressing antics with Jones, Dane Bowers – who has also dated Price – 'Thong Song' singer Sisqo, actor Stephen Baldwin and former Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

Bowers told him: “Big Brother is a wicked opportunity for you because at the moment you’re only known for being a cross-dresser and dating someone famous. This will give you the chance to show the real you.”

Fleiss said: “I’m sure this is an opportunity for you to be more than someone’s boyfriend.”

She added: “I think you’ve a little bit of homosexuality in you, but that’s OK.”

Reid replied: “We all have that potential. I’m trisexual.”

Jones demanded: “But why don’t you keep quiet about it then? Don’t think you can take the mickey out the media. They will chew you up. You’re no more a cross-dresser than the rest of us.”

Quizzed by the other celebrities on the positives of his current image, Reid said: “The good stuff is I have got a lovely partner (in Price). That’s the good thing about it. I’ve got a TV show coming out.”

But Fleiss told him: “Your TV might flop, millions of people are watching you now, on this show.”

Baldwin advised: “You can control your destiny by being consistent. Say ’I am this’ and then be it. Right now you’re a frickin’ tossed salad. You’re a little bit of everything.”

Sisqo added: “A Jack of all trades.”

As the discussion finally calmed down Jones got up and walked into the kitchen.

“Is that Alex hour over? Alex gets his counselling every day and then he runs around the garden with no clothes on”, he laughed.

Meanwhile, Jonas Altberg, aka Basshunter, was in the bedroom talking to Katia Ivanova as he filed his toe nails.

Glamour model Nicola Tappenden was crying as she misses her young daughter Poppy.
