Fontwell have called a precautionary inspection at 7.30am on Monday to determine whether their afternoon meeting can go ahead.

The going at the track is described as heavy and clerk of the course Geoff Stickels is hopeful of the meeting getting the green light.

He said: "We have had 22 millimetres on Sunday but the course is just about raceable.

"However, we are forecast rain so we thought it was prudent to check the course in the morning."
