See how boys react when they're asked to slap a girl

A simple video from Italy has been released about violence against women.

The clip by Fanpage.it starts innocently enough by asking some boys their name, age and what they want to be when they grow up.

Then a girl is introduced and they become a bit shy.

When they're asked what they think of her, they oblige by complimenting her hair, her eyes and one boy even says "everything".

They are a bit more bashful when they're asked to stroke her, but then things take an unexpected turn.

They are asked to slap her. This is where they refuse and give their reasons for doing so.

Here's a sample of their reasons:

"Because you're not supposed to hit girls."

"I don't want to hurt her."

"I can't hit her because she's pretty and she's a girl, as the saying goes: 'Girls shouldn't be hit, not even with a flower'."

"Because I'm against violence."

See the reactions for yourself.
