Bombs exploded inside two cinemas in the Indian capital today, injuring at least a dozen people, a government minister said.

Bombs exploded inside two cinemas in the Indian capital today, injuring at least a dozen people, a government minister said.

Both cinemas are located in the Karol Bagh neighbourhood of west Delhi and the two explosions occurred within 15 minutes, said Sriprakash Jaiswal. The bombs were apparently planted near the screen, the junior home minister said.

According to preliminary reports, at least a dozen people were injured in the blasts, he said. Fire fighters have reached the scene and the injured were being taken to nearby hospitals, the minister said.
