19-year-old Robert Lewis with Down Syndrome became the star of Nashville recently when he won a close-call game for his college with a glorious three-pointer in the final minutes of a match.

Robert is the basketball team manager at Franklin Road Academy in Nashville, Tennessee who were playing against the University School of Nashville, where his brother is a student.

The game was tensely tied at 64-64 when Robert made his debut onto the court thanks to his coach John Pierce.

Robert was given no guarantee that he would get to play against his brother, and was delighted to be brought on in the final minutes of the game.

Quickly getting involved in the action, Robert was part of a number of defence and offence moments before sealing victory for his team with a three-pointer shot from the side of the court.

Both home and away teams were overjoyed by the fantastic finish to the game and Robert got a rapturous reception as the court was flooded by fans.
