Enterprise Ireland, the Government’s business promotion body, invested €15m in 11 Irish companies in the second quarter of this year, according to figures released today by the Tánaiste.
Five of the firms are based in Dublin, four are located in Cork, one in Galway and one in Longford.
Announcing details of the investment, Mary Harney said it would result in the creation of around 210 jobs over the coming three years.
She said the money would also help the 11 companies to grow and compete in global markets.
