A four-year-old girl died after a car crash, police in Britain said today.

A four-year-old girl died after a car crash, police in Britain said today.

The child was in a Vauxhall Astra with her father when it was in collision with a grey Audi A5 at the junction with the A6 Blackrod Bypass and Station Road in Bolton, Greater Manchester.

The girl suffered serious injuries in the collision, at about 2.25pm yesterday, Greater Manchester Police said.

First aid was given by members of the public before paramedics and police arrived.

She was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital but died at about 5.25pm.

There were no other injuries.
