Paul Carberry rode Limestone Lad to the 34th victory of his remarkable career at Navan.

Carberry sent the 10-year-old straight into the lead in the Giltspur Scientific Hurdle and jumping fluently he was never in any danger after shrugging off the attentions of Liss A Paoraigh approaching two out to land the €13,000 first prize by six lengths.

Limestone Lad, who is unbeaten in four starts this season, was registering his eighth course success.

“I left him a little short today and I’m relieved that he has won again. He was quick and clean in his jumping down the back straight and he seems to love this place,” said Michael Bowe, who trains the horse on behalf of his father James.
