Drew Barrymore has said her next directing project 'How To be Single' will not be a rom com, as that can be a turn-off for male audiences.
The Golden Globe-winning actress – who made her directorial debut in 2009 with 'Whip It' – will direct the big-screen adaptation of Liz Tuccillo’s novel of the same name, exploring the love lives and break-ups of a group of New Yorkers over 10 years.
Drew told Entertainment Weely: “It’s hopefully, in a lot of ways, not a romantic comedy.”
She went on: “People have this weird stigma (with) that word – it’s a turn-off to guys or whatever.”
