During the third quarter of 2005 there were 2,398 days lost to industrial disputes, compared to 3,074 for the same period last year, the CSO said today.
Three disputes began in the third quarter of 2005.
Ten disputes began or were in progress in the first nine months of 2005, involving ten firms and a total of 4,077 days lost.
During that period, the electricity, gas and water supply sector accounted for just over 52% of the total days lost and construction accounted for 22%.
