Mr and Mrs Smith

So the next-door neighbours, your average suburban couple - OK, so they just happen to be Pitt and Jolie - are also, unknown to each other, the world's top assassins…
"Busy day at the office, darling?"
"A killer! Don't ask… what's for din-dins?"
And then they're hired to kill one another. And on the real-life side the stars become, briefly, an item.
Hollywood, eh!
The behind-the-cameras story sounds miles better than what transpired on screen.
It's billed as an action romance, but somebody should have, just for fun, thrown in a decent script. In short, we have here a routine pot-boiler only for those who actually don't mind forking out their folding stuff to see Pitt and Jolie on screen. They do look good, to be sure, but even a small, passingly vague smattering of talent would help.
Apparently the script underwent 100 re-writes... and still it came out as utter dross. It's truly a poor, uninteresting film which has bombed spectacularly at the Stateside box office.
