Pete Doherty shocked a BBC TV crew shooting a fly-on-the-wall documentary so much with his "mad" antics, they are concerned he won't make it alive to his next birthday.

The Babyshambles singer made the crew's lives hell during a rollercoaster four months of filming for the forthcoming show Who The F**k Is Pete Doherty? - and his frightening behaviour including threatening cameramen and destroying expensive equipment.

A crew insider says: "It is very hard work with Pete. He is wild. So many other rock stars died young, as Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain and Sid Vicious.

"He is full of potential - the question is will he live to be 27? He is a madman on drugs - really nasty."
