Irish shares have falling sharply amid fears the US economy is heading into recession.
Around €3bn has been wiped off the value of the ISEQ index, which was down almost 3% this afternoon.
The index is currently down 188.20 points at 6,903.48.
The fall follows strong US inflation figures that may prevent a cut in interest rates there.
Stocks in many European cities have also fallen today.
