Website Friends Reunited is launching a series of CDs to bring back memories of schooldays.
The 20 albums will each be devoted to music from a different year between 1970 and 1989.
Titled Friends Reunited – Class of… they will rekindle memories of snogging at the school disco.
Each CD includes a mini-history of key political, musical and sporting events from that year.
“Just as remembering shared times at school or college can draw people together again after many years, the music and lyrics of the chart hits of the day can evoke memories of old friends,” said a Friends Reunited spokeswoman.
Class of 1970 features Tears of a Clown by Smokey Robinson and Alright Now by Free, while Class of 1989 has There She Goes by The La’s and Sowing the Seeds of Love by Tears for Fears.
It is the latest money-spinner from Friends Reunited, which was launched four years ago by husband and wife Steve and Julie Pankhurst.
Begun in their spare room as a way for people to get in touch with their schoolfriends, the website now has more than 10 million registered users and has made the Pankhursts millionaires.
