Rubens Barrichello has set the fastest time in first practice for this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix as he continues his bid to close the gap on team-mate and championship leader Jenson Button.
The Brazilian trails Button by only 14 points after winning the Italian Grand Prix earlier this month.
Button was second fastest in today's practice session, which was disrupted after a Renault driver crashed at the exact point where Nelson Piquet Jnr hit the wall last year.
That crash has caused major controversy in recent weeks after Piquet's revelation that it was staged on purpose in order to bring out a safety car and help Fernando Alonso win the race.
