A number of top artists are coming together to raise funds for the mental health charity Aware.

Ryan Sheridan, The Blizzards, An Tua Nua, The Riptide Movement and An Emotional Fish are on the line-up for tonight's 'A Night for Aware' gig in Dublin.

The concert at the Olympia Theatre is aiming to encourage a conversation around mental health as well as raising money.

Paul Byrne who is co-organising the event and is the drummer with An Tua Nua says it's vital fundraiser for Aware.

It's very important for them to keep their support lines going and all their various self-care groups, it's a very important issue in this country at the moment.

"It's an awareness building exercise too having a concert like this, it's not just about the money."
