Four in hunt for Golden League prize
A quintet of would-be Golden League millionaires have confirmed their entry to Friday’s Paris leg of the lucrative series.
With a million-dollar jackpot up for grabs at the end of the Golden League season, Tonique Williams-Darling, Hestrie Cloete, Felix Sanchez, Christian Olsson and Virgilijus Alekna will all be in Paris.
To win the bounty, athletes must win their specialist event at each of the six Golden League meetings, and the five still in the running have so far only completed two legs of their challenge.
Should more than one athlete achieve the feat, the bonus money will be divided equally.
