Denzel Washington is desperate to return to the Broadway stage, three years after he stole the show as Brutus in Julius Caesar.

The New York native recently bought a new home in the city, and confesses he has his heart set on a return to its famous theatre district - where he started his career 30 years ago.

Washington says: "Absolutely. I love the theatre. We bought a place in New York. I'm trying to spend more time there. Trying to get back home."
