David Hasselhoff's lawyers have laughed off reports their client will consider reconciling with his ex-wife once he's sobered up, insisting the marriage is definitely over.
Melvin Goldsman and Marci Levine claim Hasselhoff's former wife, Pamela Bach, has been "begging" the actor to give their marriage another chance - and attacks him in the press whenever he says no.
Goldsman and Levine insist that the leaking of a videotape, shot by the couple's teenage daughter Taylor and featuring a drunk Hasselhoff growling obscenities, is Bach's latest vindictive attempt to get back at her ex.
Bach insists she didn't even know about the video until it started appearing on US news shows last week.
Levine says: "It's clear she does want to reconcile because for the past year and half, she's been begging him to come home.. and when he hasn't done so, it's always ratcheted up by releases to the press.
"He will always care about her. She is the mother of his children and wants the best for her and the children."
Goldsman adds: "David decided that they can't be together any longer and he doesn't want to be married to her. She's very angry with him for that. And she's been asking him to come back nonstop for the last year and a half."
