Will Ferrell has insisted he “would die” to make an Anchorman sequel.

'The Other Guys' actor said he and the rest of the original cast want to film 'Anchorman 2' – but Paramount Pictures have yet to agree to another movie.

“We would die to make one but we can’t unless they agree to it – they own the rights,” he said.

“We can only hope that Paramount Pictures will change their minds.”

But writer and director Adam McKay promised fans there would definitely be a follow-up, though it may be on stage rather than he big screen.

He said: “I promise it will get done, either as a film or on stage.”
