Wigan lead by two at Hull

Hull 0 Wigan 2

Two goals inside the opening 12 minutes shocked an unbeaten Hull side and left winless Wigan comfortably in the driving seat at half-time at the KC Stadium.

Despite a promising start, the hosts went behind after just four minutes when Kevin Kilbane’s fluffed corner was deflected into his own net at the front post by Sam Ricketts.

And matters went from bad to worse for a Tigers side missing the experienced likes of George Boateng, Anthony Gardner and Marlon King when Antonio Valencia burst through a wide open defence to make it 2-0 eight minutes later.
