Eminem’s ex-wife was back behind bars after authorities said she dropped out of a court-ordered drug treatment programme.
Kimberly Mathers was released from jail on March 1 to attend the programme after being convicted of using cocaine while on probation.
On February 12, Macomb County Circuit Judge Edward Servitto ordered her to serve 30 days in the county jail and then transfer to an inpatient substance abuse treatment programme for an additional 90 days.
Now she is back in the Macomb County Jail, Michigan.
“For whatever reason, she left the programme she was attending so the judge ordered her back to jail,” Capt John Roberts, the jail commander, said. “For right now, it’s ordered by the judge that she complete her sentence in jail.”
Mathers was sentenced in January to two years’ probation after pleading guilty to charges of possessing 25 grams or less of cocaine.
The 28-year-old ex-wife of rapper Eminem was also banned from using alcohol or non-prescription drugs and must undergo random drug testing during her probation. Her sentence ends on May 12.
Mathers and Eminem, whose legal name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, have a daughter, Hailie Jade Mathers.
