A teenager has been banned from all shops that sell chocolate.

Police put the condition in place as part of the sweet-toothed youth's bail terms after he was arrested on suspicion of stealing chocolate from three different stores.

He appears to have a penchant for Galaxy after being accused of stealing bars of the confectionary at the 99p Shop, Wilkinsons and the Co-Op in Southend, south east England.

Speaking about the idea of enforcing a chocolate shop ban, Sgt Nick Eliot, of Southend police, told The Echo newspaper: “It’s a bit different, but sometimes you’ve got to be a bit imaginative.”
