Sweden international Zlatan Ibrahimovic has told Celtic forward Henrik Larsson he has nothing left to prove in Scottish football.

The Hoops striker is on course for a second Golden Shoe award in three years.

But Ajax star Ibrahimovic believes the 32-year-old needs a new challenge.

Ibrahimovic said: “Henrik is better than the Scottish competition – he can play even higher.

“There is good competition in Scotland and there are many good players.

“But, if I was him, I would have tried another competition because he has done such a good job in Scotland."
