Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki was planning to travel to London today for medical tests, just two months after he underwent an earlier round of tests in the city.
Mr al-Maliki's adviser Yassin Majeed said Mr al-Maliki was in good health and that the tests are merely to confirm that the prime minister has no medical problems.
Following his last visit, an aide said the prime minister had travelled to Britain after falling ill, but no problems were discovered in his check up.
The British government released no specific information about what tests Mr al-Maliki, who is in his late 50s, will undergo.
Mr Majeed said Mr al-Maliki might meet British Prime Minister Gordon Brown on his visit like he did on his last trip to London.
