Waterford hurling selector Nicky Cashin has made it clear that three players controversially dropped from the county panel could yet figure in the team's plans.
Peter Queally, Brian Flannery and Brian Greene were all scathing in their criticism of team boss Justin McCarthy and were left off the Corkman's pre-league panel.
However, Cashin said: "We will be holding trial games after Christmas and if the three players are good enough, they will be included in the panel. They still have a chance."
