Australia have made 24 changes to last year’s victorious international rules squad for this year’s three-match tour down under.

Coach Garry Lyon finalised his selection yesterday after his initial 40 players was whittled down to just 32.

The good news for Ireland is that Jason Akermanis and Micheal O’Loughlin will play no part this year, with only James Hird, Adam Yze, Nathan Drown, Craig Bradley, Andrew McLeod, Blake Castella, David King and Simon Goodwin left over from the team that claimed victory in Croke Park 12 months ago.
